Composition characteristics of low-alloy high-strength A709 Gr36 structural steel plate:
(1) Low carbon: Because of the high requirements for resistance, weldability and cold forming function, its carbon content does not exceed 0.20%.
(2) Participate in alloying elements dominated by manganese.
(3) Participate in auxiliary elements such as niobium, titanium or vanadium: a small amount of niobium, titanium or vanadium forms fine carbides or carbonitrides in A709 Gr36 steel, which is conducive to obtaining fine ferrite grains and improving the strength and resistance of A709 Gr36 steel. In addition, the participation of a small amount of copper (≤0.4%) and phosphorus (about 0.1%) can improve the anti-corrosion function. Participating in a small number of rare earth elements can desulfurize and degas, purify steel, improve resistance and process functions.
A709 Gr36 structural steel plate is widely used in building steel structures, machinery and other steel structures.
