What is the difference between 25Cr2MoVA steel and 12Cr1MoV material?
1. The chemical composition is different between 25Cr2MoVA steel and 12Cr1MoV material:
The chemical composition of 25Cr2MoVA steel: C 0.22-0.29, Si 0.17-0.37, Mn 0.40-0.70, Cr 1.50-1.80, Mo 0.25-0.35, V 0.15-0.30.
The chemical composition of 12Cr1MoV material: C 0.08-0.15, Si 0.17-0.37, Mn 0.40-0.70, Cr 0.90-1.20, Mo 0.25-0.35, V 0.15-0.30.
It can be seen from the above comparison that the carbon content, chromium content and vanadium content of 25Cr2MoVA steel and 12Cr1MoV material are different.
2. Different mechanical properties between 25Cr2MoVA steel and 12Cr1MoV material:
Mechanical properties of 25Cr2MoVA steel:
The tensile strength is 930 MPa, the yield strength is 785 MPa, the impact absorption energy is 63J, the elongation of section is 14%, and the reduction of area is 55%.
Mechanical properties of 12Cr1MoV material:
The tensile strength is 490 MPa, the yield strength is 245 MPa, the impact absorption energy is 71J, the elongation of section is 22%, and the reduction of area is 50%.
3. Different characteristics and uses between 25Cr2MoVA steel and 12Cr1MoV material:
The main characteristic difference between 12Cr1MoV material and 25Cr2MoVA steel is that the former has good weldability, while the latter has poor weldability.
12Cr1MoV material is mainly used to manufacture superheated steel pipes, pipes and radiators in high pressure equipment with working temperature not exceeding 570-585℃;
25Cr2MoVA steel is mainly used to manufacture nuts, bolts, studs, fasteners, etc. under high temperature conditions. It can also be used to make valve stem, gear, integral rotor of steam turbine, sleeve, main steam valve, control valve, etc.
