Turkey imposes additional tariffs on some imported steel products

According to the media, according to a statement published in the official gazette of Turkey, Turkey has decided to impose additional import taxes on a variety of commodities, including some flat steel products and pipe products. The additional tax rate will be implemented in two stages from May 20 to September 30 and after October 1.

However, the import of the steel products involved accounts for a small proportion of Turkey's total steel import, so the additional tariff is not expected to have a significant impact on Turkey's overall steel import.
