In the past week, the CIS billet import trading market was quiet, and the billet export market quotations and supply were limited. The market price was generally stable in the first half of the holiday, and the hot-rolled steel coil export market was forced to decline due to lower purchase prices at the beginning of the holiday.
On February 15th, the mainstream export quotations of hot-rolled steel coils from large CIS steel mills were US$690-700/ton FOB, but buyers from South America, the Middle East and other places were less enthusiastic in making inquiries, and the intended price was less than US $650 / T CFR. The comprehensive transaction price is 10-15 USD / ton lower than that before the festival.
In the second half of the holiday, with the strong rebound of international scrap prices, the local long product prices have shown a rebounding trend. It is expected that the finished steel prices will still be supported after the holiday.
