The qualified rate of high performance boiler drum plate 18MnMo4-5 developed by China for a high-end customer has reached 100%, and the quality of the material object has been praised by customers. It has successfully replaced imports, laying a good foundation for China to continue to use this steel grade to design and manufacture low-cost and high-performance boiler drum plate in the next step.

The developed high-performance boiler drum plate 18MnMo4-5 is mainly used by a large boiler factory to make new environmental protection boiler drum in Singapore. The customer has put forward strict requirements for the yield strength, tensile strength range and high temperature tensile strength of steel plate, which makes the development difficult.

In order to replace imports and develop this kind of low-cost and high-performance special steel plate, the Science and Technology Department of the company strengthened the technical service docking, and customized the high-performance boiler drum plate 18MnMo4-5 with the thickness of 82mm - 86mm produced according to the European standard. As the steel plate is produced for the first time in China, the science and technology department has carefully designed the chemical composition, smelting rolling and heat treatment process of the 18MnMo4-5 steel plate, which has been butted with customers for many times to ensure that the quality of the steel plate meets the requirements.
