Shanghai hot rolled steel market price forecast next week

This week, the market price of hot rolled steel in Shanghai has risen sharply. The mainstream quotation of 1500mm carbon steel coil is 4140-4160 yuan / ton, and that of 1800mm wide coil is 4320-4340 yuan / ton. The main price of 1500mm low alloy steel is 4230-4250 yuan / ton, and that of 1800mm low alloy steel is 4370-4390 yuan / ton.

This week, driven by the sharp rise in the futures market, the mentality of the spot market is relatively optimistic, and the business quotation for hot rolled steel is gradually higher. However, with the rapid rise in prices, the downstream terminals have a strong wait-and-see mood, and basically purchase on demand, and the market transaction is also good and bad.

At present, the overall market inventory of hot rolled steel is not high, and the order price of steel mills is running at a high level, which has a certain support for the price. However, considering the increase in resources of the north material in the later period, the pressure may increase in the later period, and the merchants are more cautious in operation and still mainly focus on cash out of shipment. On the whole, it is expected that the Shanghai hot rolled steel market prices may fluctuate strongly next week.
