SA516 Gr.60 (HIC) steel plate features and uses

SA516 Gr.60 (HIC) steel plate is for hydrogen containers, which implements the ASME standard. In order to meet the different requirements of users and facilitate production management, the S and P requirements for steel grades are divided into three levels: I, II, and III.

SA516 Gr.60 (HIC) steel plate is mainly used in the manufacture of equipment used in wet hydrogen sulfide environment, such as: liquefied petroleum gas desulfurization system, stable absorption system of catalytic cracking, condensation system of atmospheric and vacuum distillation column, etc. The material has the characteristics of high purity, low P, low S, good uniformity of structure and mechanical properties, resistance to hydrogen cracking and sulfide stress corrosion.
