SA387 Gr91 steel plate for large nuclear power plants

SA387 Gr91 steel plate is used in large nuclear power plants, and it can also be used in other places in general. It has the ability to prevent hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen corrosion, hydrogen peeling, and sulfide corrosion in a medium temperature (350-480℃) hydrogen environment, and has good low temper embrittlement. It is widely used in chemical manufacturing, petrochemical and thermal power plant equipment manufacturing, such as ammonia synthesis reactors, coal gasifiers, shift furnaces and hydrogenation reactors.

SA387 Gr91 steel is equivalent to the national standard 10Cr9Mo1VNbN. It not only has high oxidation resistance and high temperature steam corrosion resistance, but also has good impact toughness and high and stable durable plasticity and thermal strength. When the service temperature is lower than 620℃, its allowable stress is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel. Above 550℃, the recommended design allowable stress is about twice that of T9 and 2.25Cr-1Mo steel.

SA387 Gr91 steel plate is used to manufacture equipment that resists sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid and acetic acid, and has good intergranular corrosion resistance.
