42CrMo4 alloy steel plate is quenched and tempered alloy structural steel. 42CrMo4 alloy steel plate has high fatigue strength, abrasion and impact resistance, toughness, and torsional strength. Quenched and tempered 42CrMo4 alloy steel plate is used for engineering structural, like high tensile shafts, bolts and nuts, gears, pinions and spindles.

42CrMo4 alloy steel plate is under European standard EN10083. It is a kind of alloy steel with high hardenability, good toughness and small deformation during quenching. 42CrMo4 alloy steel plate has high creep strength and endurance strength at high temperature.

The Chinese equivalent of 42CrMo4 alloy steel plate is 42CrMo steel plate. The main difference is 42CrMo4 is in EN standard, 42CrMo is in China GB standard. Their P, V and S element is a little different from each other, but their machinery properties are similar.
