EN S355J2 is a medium tensile, low carbon manganese steel in EN10025-2 with low alloy. EN S355J2 is readily weldable and possess good impact resistance. J2 means doing charpy V-notch impacting test at -20℃. Q345D steel is EN S355J2 equivalent grade in China. Below is comparison between Q345D steel and EN S355J2.

The performance of Q345D steel and EN S355J2 are similar even in impact temperature, it is no wonder that Q345D steel is EN S355J2 equivalent grade in China. EN S355J2 steel is commonly supplied in the untreated or normalized condition. The normalized grade is known as S355J2+N.
