Processing and heat treatment method of SS400 steel plate

Processing and heat treatment method of SS400 steel plate

1. Processing method:
Cutting: Use cutting equipment (e.g. flame cutting, plasma cutting) to cut SS400 steel plates to the required size and shape.
- Bending: The SS400 steel plate is bent by cold or hot bending machine to make the required bending member.
- Forming: The SS400 steel plate is processed into various complex shape parts by cold stamping, hot stamping and other methods.

2. Heat treatment method:
- Standardized annealing: the SS400 steel plate is heated to a certain temperature, and then the cooling rate is controlled to improve its organizational structure and performance.
- Quenching: The SS400 steel plate is heated above the critical temperature, and then quickly cooled to obtain a higher hardness and strength.
- Tempering: Tempering the SS400 steel plate after quenching, adjusting its hardness and toughness by controlling temperature and time.

3. Surface treatment method:
- Pickling: The pickling process is used to remove the oxide and rust on the surface of SS400 steel plate and improve the surface quality.
- Shot peening: high-speed shot peening equipment is used to clean the surface of SS400 steel plate to increase its adhesion and surface finish.
- Galvanizing: A layer of zinc is plated on the surface of SS400 steel plate to enhance its corrosion resistance.

These processing and heat treatment methods can be selected and applied according to specific engineering requirements and product requirements to ensure that SS400 steel plates meet the required performance and quality standards.
