Performance requirements of 16MnCr5 steel plate

The chemical composition of 16MnCr5 steel plate:
C: 0.14-0.19, Mn: 1.00-1.30, Si: not more than 0.40, P: not more than 0.035, S: 0.010-0.035, Cr: 0.80-1.10.

Mechanical properties of 16MnCr5 steel plate: tensile strength: 1373, yield strength: 1187, elongation: 13, reduction of area: 57, impact toughness: 72, hardness: not more than 297HB.

Performance requirements of 16MnCr5 steel plate:
(1) High strength: Generally, its yield strength is above 300MPa.
(2) High toughness: The elongation is required to be 15%-20%, and the room temperature impact toughness is greater than 600kJ/m - 800kJ/m. For large welded components, higher fracture toughness is also required.
(3) Good welding performance and cold forming performance.
(4) Low cold brittle transition temperature.
(5) Good corrosion resistance.
