Material S460N production continues to rise

Material S460N production continues to rise

Although the average daily output of material S460N and other steel in February hit a record high, in view of market demand, inventory transfer and steel market prices, there is still room for production to rise. Although social inventories of material S460N and other steel increased during the Spring Festival, compared with previous years, the accumulated inventory situation did not exceed market expectations, so the inventory did not have a significant inhibitory effect on steel mill production. With the arrival of the peak season for the steel industry in March, steel demand will rise in the short term, and the 14th Five-Year Plan is expected to drive steel demand growth in the long term, which is good for steel companies to increase production. It is expected that the production of steel mills will continue to rise in March, or it will hit a new high in average daily output.

On the whole, in February, the domestic steel market rebounded, market demand improved, steel mill production increased, inventory shifted downstream, and prices of raw materials and finished products rose. It is expected that in March, both ends of the market supply and demand will become stronger, the speed of destocking will accelerate, the price of material S460N and other steel products will fluctuate upward, and the price of iron ore will continue to run at a high level.
