High yield strength S500Q structural steel

High yield strength S500Q structural steel

S500Q is a high-yield-strength structural steel under quenched and tempered conditions. It is a special alloy steel. S500Q structural steel executive standard: EN10025-6, stipulates that the nominal thickness of S500 grade steel is 3-150mm, and the yield strength that can be achieved after quenching and tempering is greater than 500MPa. Number: 1.8924.

S500Q: specifies the impact energy when the temperature is not lower than -20 degrees, no sign.
S500QL: Specifies the impact energy when the temperature is not lower than -40 degrees, denoted as: L.
S500QL1: Specifies the impact energy when the temperature is not lower than -70 degrees, recorded as: L1.

The size, shape and allowable deviation of S500Q steel plate should meet the requirements of EN10025-1 in 2.2.

S500Q delivery status:
3.1 S500Q steel plates are required to be quenched and tempered.
3.2 S500Q steel grade must be completely killed, there should be fine grain structure and sufficient nitrogen fixing elements in the steel.
3.3 S500Q steel plates should be delivered by shearing or flame cutting.
