Chemical composition and application of 50Mn high manganese steel

50Mn high manganese steel is a kind of high-quality carbon structural steel, the implementation standard is GB/T 699. The strength, elasticity and hardness of 50Mn steel are high, and it is mostly used after quenching and tempering, and its welding performance is poor.

Carbon C: 0.48-0.56
Silicon Si: 0.17-0.37
Manganese Mn: 0.70-1.00
Sulfur S: ≤0.035
Phosphorus P: ≤0.035
Chromium Cr: ≤0.25
Nickel Ni: ≤0.30
Copper Cu: ≤0.25

50Mn high manganese steel is used to manufacture heat-treated parts that require high wear resistance and are subjected to high loads, such as gears, gear shafts and core shafts with a cross-section below 80mm.
