Heat Treatment:
For quenched and tempered A709 Grade HPS 50W, the heat treatment shall be performed by the manfuacturer and shall consist of heating the steel to not less than 1600℉[900 ℃ ], quenching it in water or oil, and tempering it at not less than 1100℉[590 ℃ ]. The heat-treating requirements shall be reported on the test certificates.
