In the aeronautical field, ASTM A515 Grade 60 boiler steel plate is used for a variety of engine and airframe components which must withstand high temperatures. In various types of high – temperature water, ASTM A515 Grade 60 carbon steel plate displays low corrosion rates and excellent resistance to stress – corrosion cracking.

The A515 Grade 60 boier steel plates material must meet a minimum of 415MPa tensile strength with 25% minimum elongation. When cold working, A515 Grade 60 carbon steel plate material may be readily bent or cold formed as is typical of plain carbon steels.
