A36 steel: good mechanical properties, high strength, good hardenability

A36 steel is an alloy structural steel with good comprehensive mechanical properties, high strength, good hardenability, and small deformation during quenching. The main purpose of A36 steel is as ship steel, automobile steel and spring steel. it can also be used to manufacture various shafts, bolts and screws.

A36 steel has high strength and toughness at high temperature. It can be used for a long time and maintain toughness below 850°C;

A36 steel has good welding performance and has good welding performance. Compared with other steels, the weldability is very good; the shortcomings of uneven welding performance have been basically overcome, and uniform metallurgical quality can be guaranteed during welding.

A36 steel has good cutting performance, good machinability and grindability, accurate processing size and no bad cutting phenomenon.

The delivery state of A36 steel is annealed or high temperature tempered (annealed hardness ≤ 204 HBW).
