In order to improve the situation, high temperature heating and fast firing become essential. That can accelerate the improvement speed of heating temperature, and prevent excessive oxidation, reduce the grain boundary and the slab surface enrichment of Cu. As as result, it can avoid the edge crack of TB/T1979 09CuPCrNi-A weather resistant steel plates during rolling process, and reduce the heating temperature appropriately. The heating temperature of 09CuPCrNi-A weatherproof steel billets is 1160~1210 ℃, and the heating time should be no less than 80 min.
TB/T1979 09CuPCrNi-A weather resistant steel plates have high hardness, so its rolling thickness is always thinner. Large rolling force and rolling current of steel mill is easy to cause accidents in the rolling process. The medium heavy 09CuPCrNi-A weather resistant steel plates billets are usually 26~29 mm in thickness.
After production of TB/T1979 09CuPCrNi-A weather resistant steel, the steel need water cooling accordingly.
