Generally speaking, 16Mo3 material is a Cr-Mo alloy steel. The addition of molybdenum(Mo) not only improves the resistance to pitting corrosion but also significantly enhances creep strength at elevated temperatures. The chromium(Cr) improves the resistance to high-temperature hydrogen attack and graphitization.
Steel 16Mo3 Plates Available
Thickness: 3mm to 150mm
16Mo3 is designated with steel number 1.5415. Equivalent to the domestic 12Cr1MoV, and ASTM A204. Steel Grade 16Mo3 is a EN10028 specified pressure vessel grade chrome molybdenum steel alloy for use in elevated working temperatures. EN 10028-2 16Mo3 alloy steel has enhanced mechanical properties and better crawl resistance permitting it to be utilized something like 500°C. This makes it perfect for an extensive variety of employments where the plates will need to perform at a high temperature consistently. The material is utilized as a weldable steel as a part of the manufacture of modern boilers and steel pressurized vessels found in the oil, gas and concoction industry. Because of the materials chrome and molybdenum content, it has amazing warmth resistance and corrosion safe attributes.
Typical applications: Wide range of power plant equipment, industrial exhaust, venting and flare systems and waste recycling and incineration plants. It is also valuable for machinery where parts are likely to remain hot for an extended period.
