Characteristics of 316L stainless steel:
(1) the appearance of cold rolled 316L stainless steel products is good and beautiful.
(2) due to the addition of Mo, the corrosion resistance, especially the pitting resistance of 316L stainless steel is excellent.
(3) excellent strength at high temperature.
(4) excellent work hardening property (weak magnetism after machining)
(5) solid solution state without magnetism;
(6) the price is higher than 304 stainless steel.
Use state of 316L stainless steel:
Annealing solid solution state:
NO.1, 2B, N0.4, HL and other surface states.
316L stainless steel is a Molybdenum steel. Because of the molybdenum content in the steel, the overall performance of 316L stainless steel is better than 310 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel. At high temperature, when the concentration of sulfuric acid is lower than 15% and higher than 85%, 316L stainless steel has a wide range of applications. 316L stainless steel also has good chloride corrosion properties, so it is usually used in marine environment.
The maximum carbon content of 316L stainless steel is 0.03, so 316L stainless steel can be used in applications where annealing is not possible after welding and where maximum corrosion resistance is required.
Application Scope of 316L stainless steel:
Pipeline, heat exchanger, food industry, chemical industry and so on.
Typical use of 316L stainless steel:
Heat exchangers for pulp and paper-making equipment, dyeing equipment, film processing equipment, pipes, materials for building exteriors in coastal areas.
