288mm thick S460N hydropower steel plate

Recently, BBN steel has successfully supplied 288mm thick S460N hydropower steel plate, which is the thickest steel plate for hydropower ring plate in China. The S460N plate will be used in the manufacture of giant generator set seat ring, a key part of key equipment in a well-known hydropower project abroad.

According to the requirements of the project, the relevant departments of the company have in-depth docking with customers to design the steel used in the key parts of the project, which is used for the construction of a pumped storage power station about 800 meters deep underground in a well-known foreign hydropower project. Its thickness, performance inspection, flaw detection and other technical conditions are beyond the standard requirements, and the production difficulty is unprecedented. In particular, the thickness of S460N hydropower steel plate is 38 mm thicker than the maximum thickness of the industry order standard, which is the largest thickness of hydropower steel plate in China at present.
