What is steel material Q355

For steel material Q355, Q represents the yield strength of material Q355, followed by 355, which means that the yield value of material Q355 is about 355 MPa. And with the increase of material thickness, the yield value will decrease.

Grade and classification of steel material Q355:
The steel material Q355 can be divided into Q355A, Q355B, Q355C, Q355D and Q355E. Their main difference lies in the impact temperature.
Q355 A steel, no need to do impact;
Q355B steel, 20℃ impact at room temperature;
Q355C steel, 0 degree impact;
Q355D steel:- 20 degree impact;
Q355E steel: - 40 degree impact.
At different impact temperature, the impact value is different.

Compared with Q355A, Q355B and Q355C steel, Q355D steel is recommended. Its test temperature of low temperature impact energy is low, and the performance is good. The content of P and S is also lower than that of Q355A, Q355B and Q355C steel.
