South Korea extends anti dumping duty on Japanese stainless steel plates for the second time

On July 14, 2020, the Ministry of Strategic Finance of the Republic of Korea issued announcement No. 2020-108. According to the Resolution No. 801 of the Ministry of Strategic Finance of the Republic of Korea, it is decided to extend the anti-dumping duty on imported stainless steel plates originating in Japan for the second time, with a validity period of three years.

It is learned that Japan's crude steel output in July decreased significantly on a month on month basis. On the one hand, it was affected by the epidemic situation in the first half of 2020 and the economic recovery lagged behind after the epidemic in the third quarter to the fourth quarter. On the other hand, the extension of anti-dumping duty by South Korea on Japanese plate increased Japan's exports difficulty.
