Surface quality of LR A hot rolled marine steel

Surface quality of LR A hot rolled marine steel

Shipbuilding is one of the most important applications of wide and heavy sheets. The surface quality of LR A hot rolled marine steel is a necessary performance index before ASTM A131 grade A steel is manufactured and in the manufacturing process.

The surface quality of LR A hot rolled marine steel is easy to form in two stages. One is the formation of iron oxide in the production process. Because of the interaction of environment, it is also easy to form in transportation and storage.

There are three main types of surface quality of LR A hot rolled marine steel.

1. Surface pit of LR A hot rolled marine steel.
The pit is located on the surface of LR A hot rolled steel. The size and depth are not uniform, less than 0.3mm.

2.Surface roughness of LR A hot rolled marine steel.
After shot blasting, we found that the veins on the surface of LR A steel were uneven, and the depth was below 0.1mm.

3. Corrosion pit of LR A hot rolled marine steel.
The surface defects of LR A marine steel are inhomogeneous, the depth is mainly in the range of 0.1-0.3 mm, and the depth of the pit is 0.5 mm.
